Scholarships - Call for applications (academic year 2017-18)

The Embassy of France to the Philippines is pleased to offer the following scholarship programs for the academic year 2017-2018.

All applications must be submitted on http://www.philfrance-scholarships.com/.

No applications will be accepted through other channels.

PhilFrance Scholarships

This academic award is directed to the next generation of Filipino leaders who have shown strong academic, leadership and professional ability, and who wish to study in France for a graduate degree or as part of a student exchange program.

Eligibility criteria

- Filipino national, residing in the Philippines at the time of application
- Graduate or graduating student of a Philippine university
- For applicants to Master’s degree programs: final-year students or graduates of Bachelor-level degree
- For applicants to Ph.D. programs: final-year students or graduates of a Master-level degree
- For candidates to undergraduate exchange programs: currently enrolled in a Philippine university that offers a student exchange program with a French higher education institution

Candidates teaching in a Philippine HEI must apply for the CHED-PhilFrance Scholarship.

Deadline: Friday, April 14, 2017, 4:00 PM

CHED-PhilFrance Scholarships

The Commission on Higher Education and the French Embassy provide financial support to faculty and non-teaching staff currently serving in a higher education institution, who wish to study in France for a graduate degree.

Eligibility criteria

- Be employed by a CHED-recognized Philippine institution of higher learning
- Be a Filipino citizen
- Not be more than 42 years old for applicants to Master’s degree programs and not more than 40 years old for applicants to Doctoral degree programs by the time you begin your degree
- Hold at minimum a Bachelor’s degree (for applicants to Master’s degree programs) or a Master’s degree (for applicants to Doctoral degree programs)
- Demonstrate strong academic record
- Demonstrate knowledge or expertise that would prepare them adequately for successful study and research in a specific graduate program
- Be in good health and of good moral character
- Have no pending criminal charges, and must not have been convicted for violation of any Philippine Law
- Fulfill all the Terms and Conditions of the grant, including a return service obligation
